Approval Process
To be listed in the 1868 Hayward Earthquake Alliance Experts and Speakers Bureau, please provide the Alliance Steering Committee with some basic information about your background and suggested topics for lectures or presentations. Upon approval, we will publish your information on this web site for use by teachers, event planners, the media, and the general public.
Criteria for Speakers Bureau Approval:
- The lecture titles and abstracts shall be consistent with the Alliance Mission Statement: “Commemorate the 140th anniversary of the 1868 Hayward earthquake to raise public awareness of the imminent hazard posed by the Hayward Fault and to reduce its risk to Bay Area residents, communities, and businesses.”
- The background, expertise, and experience of the applicant should be consistent with the topics he or she will address.
