Earthquake Preparation Luncheon -- Don't Get Shaken Up by the Next Shaker!
Emeryville Chamber of Commerce, The 1868 Hayward Earthquake Alliance, "Prepare Bay Area" Program
Are you prepared?
Do you have a disaster preparedness plan?
Do YOU know how to protect your home, your family, your business and yourself when the next big earthquake strikes?
If you answered "no" to any of these questions, then just don't sit there and start quaking yourself. Attend our Emeryville Chamber of Commerce Earthquake Preparation Luncheon, featuring Tom Brocher of the U.S. Geological Survey as the keynote speaker.
Tom will discuss the Hayward Earthquake of 1868 and the lessons learned from that historic event, including how there has been a major earthquake along the Hayward fault every 140 years, and what we can do to prepare for the inevitable.
In addition, Sandi Swiderski, Director of the American Red Cross's Prepare Bay Area Program, will be on hand to present ideas and resources for disaster preparedness. The Prepare Bay Area program is a Emeryville Chamber of Commerce Healthy City Initiative partner.
Don't miss this terrific opportunity to educate yourself on earthquake preparedness and come away armed with the resources, education and contacts you'll need to protect yourself, your family and your employees from the inevitable risk we face living in the Bay Area.
