Geology of the Calaveras Fault. Stops include:
- Coyote Lake is in the rift valley of the Calaveras Fault (east of Gilroy)
- Harvey Bear Ranch near Gilroy
- Anderson Park (near Morgan Hill)
- Coyote Creek gravel bars
Hiking and driving involved. About 15 mile drive from Stop 1 and about 4 miles hiking total for the day.

Meet at Coyote Lake Campground in Coyote Lake/Harvey Bear Ranch County Park
We will tour the following County Parks:
Coyote Lake, Harvey Bear Ranch, Anderson Park, and Coyote Creek bike path
